Dr. Turow has an active interdisciplinary research program that investigates connections among emotion regulation difficulties, mindfulness, self-compassion, exposure to stress and trauma, mental health symptoms, and physical health behaviors and outcomes. She and her collaborators have also investigated the effectiveness of specific mindfulness, self-compassion, and resilience programs for improving participants' mental health and well-being.
